Please enjoy the latest happenings from the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater

March 17, 2022

The profound impact of the Russian invasion has most unfortunately grown, exponentially. Our overseas partners — JDC, JAFI, and others — are on the ground, supplying direct aid to those in the conflict zones, as well as escorting refugees over the border, and onto Israel to make Aliyah. As bombing and Russian aggression increases, the numbers needing assistance are growing by the day. The Tidewater community has absolutely stepped up, and should continue to insure those needs are met.

Your gift will go directly to emergency crisis efforts in Ukraine. Give as generously as you can, here:

UKRAINE IN CRISIS: YOUR CONTINUED  HELP IS NEEDED, MORE THAN EVER

The work done by the UJFT to set up a special Ukraine Emergency Fund 2022 is having an impact every day in the conflict region. We are receiving direct messages, weekly zoom calls, and social media videos from our overseas partner agencies — JDC, The Jewish Agency for Israel, and others — who are enacting emergency aid to those on the ground as they reimagine Jewish life. The emergency relief funds our Tidewater (and beyond) community have raised are having immediate effects; from the funding of medical care to bus transport for refugees to safe zones, or air travel to Israel to make Aliyah.

Below is a button for where you can continue to contribute — as much as you can — and know that it will help in Ukraine's conflict zones as well as those fleeing to keep their families safe throughout the country.
