Please enjoy the latest happenings from the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater

December 2, 2021

As the week of flash internet sales and "Giving Tuesday" wrap up, we ask you to consider what matters most. Our programs and the efforts they support embolden Jewish life here in Tidewater, as well as beyond. None of which would be possible without donations to the UJFT Annual Campaign, with additional support from other funders & sponsors.

You can pledge a gift to our 2022 Annual Campaign here, which helps to support future programs.

"SHINE A LIGHT" This is Hanukkah: We're Casting Antisemitism Out of the Shadows

The United Jewish Federation of Tidewater is sharing a national campaign across our social media platforms, called "Shine A Light." It's a wealth of digestible, educative information appropriate for all ages and scenarios. There are resource pages with conversation starters to have with children; things to address in the workplace; videos to enlighten friends and family; and even how to broach antisemitism in the "polite conversations" that occur over private dinner tables or at cocktail parties, still. We're asking our community to take a look at the site and see some of the helpful tools there. After all, the way past antisemitism will be education and conversation. This is a wonderful place to start.
