POP UP SHABBAT: BRINGING NEW FRIENDS TO THE TABLE

FRIDAYS, JULY & AUGUST, LOCATIONS VARY

Pop Up Shabbat is in search of a few new hosts! There are openings for hosts on July 14 & 28, and all of August. Organized by the Young Adult Division of UJFT (with a generous gift from the Richard Glasser Family Foundation) — these gatherings bring Jewish young adults together for Shabbat dinner.

Hosts will be reimbursed for up to $25 per guest of food costs, and the dinners can be family friendly (it's up to hosts to invite kids). Both new and existing Jewish community members are out there looking to meet like-minded friends!

If you want to attend a Pop Up Shabbat dinner, some seats are available for July 21 and October 27 dinners.

Also, Shabbat is what you make of it! Host an outdoor BBQ, drinks around the fire pit, or a beach picnic. The options are endless!

JOIN A MOON CIRCLE GATHERING

THURSDAY, JULY 20, 6:45 PM  •  SANDLER FAMILY CAMPUS

We invite you into a tradition that spans thousands of years: a monthly holiday known as Rosh Chodesh, meaning "head of the month." In the Jewish tradition, each month begins with a new moon, and the Hebrew calendar is the way the Jewish people have kept time for millennia. This gathering is a time to connect more deeply with ourselves, each other and the sacred flow of the Hebrew calendar.

For the past few centuries, Rosh Chodesh has been one of Judaism's best-kept secrets. We're breathing new life into it by coming together for self-reflection and rituals that will help us connect with this ancient legacy, learn from Jewish wisdom and embrace the unique spiritual energy of each month.

The Monthly Moon Circle is presented by Konikoff Center for Learning; attending the event is free, however a $7 donation is suggested.

Sign up HERE to attend the last Moon Circle Meet-Up.
