YOM HA'ATZMAUT IS THIS SUNDAY!!! COME CELEBRATE ISRAEL @ 74

Our community-wide celebration of Israel as she turns 74 is this weekend. On Sunday, May 1, from 12 PM - 4 PM you'll be experiencing all-things-Israel here at the Sandler Family Campus as we ring in Yom Ha'Atzmaut with this special celebration presented by Avraham & Karen Ashkenazi. The UJFT & Simon Family JCC invite all to join our partner agencies, local synagogues, schools, and other organizations for this celebration. These include our wonderful sponsors: Zim Integrated Shipping Services, Harbor Group International, Mercedes-Benz of Virginia Beach, Dominion Energy, CHKD, Centura College, International Longshoremen's Association, Fairlead, Mid-Atlantic Maritime Academy, & Rox.

Culinary renegades Gili and Ohad of Meat Carneval have arrived from Tel Aviv with their team of chefs and have been prepping food (and appeared on WAVY TV's "Hampton Roads Show"!) all week. Their wild festival of flavor is sweeping Israel, and now you can taste what the buzz is all about. (There will be vegan options, too.) Plus, you can shop for art, jewelry, and crafts at the Shuk; experience the Dead Sea spa; walk the boardwalk in Eilat, ride a camel, and so much more.

This is an all-faiths, community-wide, FREE EVENT for all of Tidewater. Come experience Israel without leaving VA! Bring friends!

For more information visit JewishVA.org/IsraelFest or reach out to Sierra Lautman, SLautman@UJFT.org or call 965-6107.

Attendees to this session will have the opportunity to do a hands on mitzvah project!

Classes are live, in-person, at the Simon Family JCC, but can also be livestreamed over the web. For more information, click the link below and sign up in advance!

The United Jewish Federation of Tidewater is excited to present a new way to support your community through Monthly Giving! By setting up a regular, ongoing monthly donation to the Annual Campaign, you are making a difference year-round with a budget friendly, automatic payment option. This new opportunity is a great way to provide reliable support for our community — and insure a strong and vibrant Jewish future!

Did you know that a gift of just $5 a month provides a food package for a family of fleeing Ukrainian refugees?

Or $10 per month can feed 10 Hillel students with a kosher meal when they are away from home?

How about $30 per month to support a JCC camper in need of financial assistance to attend a week of camp?

Click the button to easily set up monthly, automated payments of any amount and help us insure a bright Jewish future in Tidewater!
