30TH ANNUAL VIRGINIA FESTIVAL OF JEWISH FILM: WATCH ALL TRAILERS

FEBRUARY 23 - MARCH 1

As one of the longest-running Jewish film festivals in the country, the Virginia Festival of Jewish Film presented by Alma & Howard Laderberg, educates and entertains the Tidewater community by presenting world-class film premieres, repertory cinema, and associated programs that are inspired by Jewish or Israeli history, heritage, and values. The milestone 30th annual festival includes the films Karaoke (a Tel Aviv love story); iMordecai, (starring Judd Hirsch); The Levys of Monticello (the first Jewish commodore to serve in the U.S. Navy — who went on to save Thomas Jefferson's Monticello); Next Stop, Greenwich Village (starring a young Christopher Walken and Shelley Winters); and Farewell, Mr. Haffman (a jeweler in Occupied Paris, 1941). iMordecai and The Levys of Monticello include post-film conversations.

As part of the Big Saturday Night Celebration of Jewish Film, iMordecai will be followed by a champagne and dessert reception with klezmer music by Bagels & Fraylox. Tickets to iMordecai & the Big Saturday Night Celebration are $25, and individual tickets for all other films are $12.
