Community Relations Council of the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater presents:
Against the Backdrop of COVID-19, a Zoom conversation with
Congresswoman Elaine Luria representing Virginia's 2nd Congressional District
Wednesday, June 10, at 12:00 pm
Join the Community Relations Council of the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater for a Virtual Town Hall with Congresswoman Elaine Luria representing Virginia's 2nd Congressional District. Learn how Congress is dealing with the new COVID-19 reality and its effects on the Tidewater community, as well as the opportunities and impact on the U.S.-Israel relationship.
The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the importance of having strong international partners that the United States can count on during a crisis. Israel is one such partner and has been working closely with the U.S. on a range of responses to combat COVID-19 including vaccines, testing, and therapeutics. Against the backdrop of COVID, Congress is working to extend the U.N. Arms Embargo on Iran and encouraging continued support for the U.S. and Israel against illegitimate attacks by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Get a chance to explore these topics and more with Congresswoman Luria with a Q&A at the end.
FREE and open to the community with pre-registration required. The Zoom link will be sent to registrants via email, before the online event.
